Overview

The ancient Egyptians and the Greek visionaries Plato and Pythagoras knew the science of the stars and attributed specific tones of music to the movements of the heavens. In the Hermetic traditions handed down to us through the Kabbalah, the 15th c neoPlatonic Academies of Marcilio Ficino and 16th c Johannes Kepler, we find the teachings of As Above, So Below in the mirroring of planetary sounds in humans.

NASA has recorded the individual sounds coming from our planets, demonstrating the unique “songs” of our solar system. It appears that the ancients knew what science is only now beginning to understand which is that there is a planetary orchestra that is assisting in singing us into existence and is continually vibrating a celestial song within and around us.

All things in our universe are in constant motion, vibrating. Even objects that appear to be stationary are in fact vibrating, oscillating, and resonating at various frequencies.

Each of us is a living symphony of frequencies with some of our notes singing in harmony and some singing ‘off key’. Because of stress, trauma, and the development of negative mental and emotional patterns arising from our limited core beliefs, our unique ‘Soul’s Signature’ goes out of tune. Some notes within our body-mind symphony may have become so stressed that they are completely missing. This makes it more difficult for our orchestra, or whole energy system to play and we begin to fall out of alignment with our unique Soul Signature.

One of the ways that we can come into alignment and harmonic resonance with our Soul’s Signature is to resonate the chakras by toning the keynote for each chakra with our voice.

There are multitude of different keynotes and scales in which to resonate the chakras. One of the most popular systems used due to the fact that the fundamental frequencies are harmonically related is the diatonic major scale.

Each chakra has a keynote, a frequency, color, vowel sound, mantra, element, emotional correlates, physical correlates, and zodiacal associations. It can get pretty complex and is highly individualized. For our purposes here we will simplify it by working the individual chakras and the universal correlates.
